JAZZ WEEKENDERS is a unique programme of weekend courses throughout the year aimed at progressing jazz players. Each course focuses on a different area of Jazz from Blues through to Contemporary. There is also a Starter course for those new to Jazz. Our experienced Jazz tutors will guide you through the styles and help you to learn and develop your skills through practical workshops and group playing.

You can choose any combination of weekends from 1 to 6 – it’s that flexible!

PLEASE NOTE

The courses are open to instrumentalists and vocalists.

Places are limited to 10 musicians on each course. Early booking is advised.

Minimum playing ability for all courses (inc. Jazz 1) is Grade 3 or equivalent standard. Some reading ability is helpful. No improvisation experience is required for Jazz 1 starter course.

If you are new to Jazz we recommend attending Jazz 1,2,3 followed by any others from Jazz 4 to 6. Intermediate players can benefit from any course from Jazz 2 to 6.
